Community services and personal account for 23% of the GDP of the state, and employ 3.66 million persons, the trade Wholesale and retail employs about 1.9 million people and accounts for 13% of its GDP. Government services account for 10% of the GDP of the state and employ about 1.45 million people. Transport, telecommunications and utilities account for 8% of GDP of the state, employing around 487 thousand people. Hydroelectric and e nuclear produce each about 25% of the electricity generated in the state. Thermoelectric a coal and gas are responsible for producing 20% of the electricity generated in the state each. The rest comes from coal oil and imports of electricity generated in Quebec, Canada.
